For Sale

If you see something on my site you would like to purchase, just email me, but be advised that I do not spend my entire day on the computer and I usually check my mail only once a day.  I answer all e-mail related to this website within a day or two, so if you don't hear back from me, I'm either out of town or my spam filter is operating too efficiently!

Almost everything I sell here includes the price of postage. Insurance is highly recommended, as I can't be responsible for what happens after I bring your parcel to the post office. I expect to receive your payment promptly (within 7 days) unless other arrangements are agreed upon. I don't want to sound severe, but if your payment is late and I don't receive a prompt reply to my e-mail query, your item may end up being sold to someone else, so please be responsible about your commitment, so I can be fair to everyone.

I'm happy to sell to collectors in the US and Britain, but I really don't want to do business with Canada, thanks .

If you are looking for Tynietoy items (and much much more) and don't see them here, check Ann Meehan's website, http://www.meehanantiqueminiatures.com/ .

I have been selling some things from this page on ebay recently, but most of these items are all fresh to the market and from my personal collection. I have reduced prices on some older items.

Tynietoy Sheraton bow-front chest. The second drawer is a slightly lighter color than the other drawers but the original wooden knobs are all intact with no chips (which can be hard to find). Has nice patina, reasonably priced. $35.

Tynietoy Terry clock with hand-painted lower panel and hand-colored clockface. Later stamp on back. $65.

Nice-looking Tynietoy sundial with good paint, slight wear on corners. These are usually hard to find, but I have now accumulated enough for all my houses. $95.

A small painted fretwork occasional table that I found in England about ten years ago. Probably ca. 1930-1950 as I think it is made from thin plywood, maybe from a Hobbies pattern. Makes a nice desk or console table under a window. Crisply executed and painted with a glossy black enamel.2.75" tall and 3.25 wide on top. $25.

Nice German rattan settee and two matching plantstands, all painted a soft sage green. Table on left has considerable paint loss but the other two pieces are in good condition. Original cotton floral print upholstered pad for seat. I had this on the upper porch of my large Gottschalk house until last year. Settee 5" long. Set for $25.

Homemade metal plantstand, also recently from my Gottchalk house. Probably from 1930's, maybe earlier. Some dust and residual wax on top - I'll clean it off before shipping. 4" tall. Nice folky quality. $20.

A mid-20th century English wardrobe made from oak, possibly Barton or another commercial venture but I'm not positive. I bought this at a small market when I lived in England and have saved it all these years hoping for a big Triang house which never seems to appear. Oh, well. A smidge under 6" tall. Great for dollhouses short on closets, doors open with pin hinges and a set of small screws inside function as clothes hooks. Very good condition except some isolated scratches to the finish on the right side. $25.

A pair of rare Tynietoy silver-plated candlesticks, 1" tall. I bought a group of these some months ago and it was only the second time I have encountered the silver-plated examples of these finely made candlesticks designed by and custom-made just for Tynietoy. I have one set left and all have some degree of loss to the silver-plating, concentrated pretty much to one side, so not noticeable when you turn the worn side away from the viewer. I suppose they could be replated at a nominal cost - I may look into this for the ones I'm keeping. $50 for the pair (if perfect, they swould be about $95-100).

Set A: An assortment of color photocopied Tynietoy lampshades printed on a cardstock of appropriate weight. These were copied from original lampshade samples I acquired as part of a large Tynietoy archive. Several were marked on the back "sample" and the black one with portrait is especially nice. These can be cut out, I would paint or lightly stain the back sides with a taupe or brown color, and then glued into shape. Five are for table lamps and two for floor lamps. $5 per sheet plus 80 cents postage.

Set B: Five Tynietoy color photocopied lampshades for floor lamps, as described above. $5 per sheet plus 80 cents postage. Sorry for the glare from the flash.

Just a few of these sets left!

An assortment of twelve original Tynietoy brass drawer knobs. $10 includes postage.
