Appraisals

I do several types of appraisals. Some appraisals are for the purpose of estate planning or settlements, others are done for insurance, and then there are market appraisals for collectors preparing to sell their collections. I charge an hourly rate for single-day appraisals, and a daily rate for larger collections that may take several days. One of the largest and most famous collections took me three weeks! I use a custom software program to inventory collections and then tailor reports to customer requirements. I don't like to do appraisals from photographs, but will appraise individual items on-line for a reasonable fee with the understanding that without seeing something in person, I cannot guarantee accurate identification or values.
